The Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS (992 generation) was introduced in 2021 as part of the latest evolution of the iconic 911 lineup. This model combines the classic Targa design with the performance-oriented GTS trim, offering a distinctive open-top experience. Production numbers are not officially disclosed by Porsche, but as a niche variant within the 911 range, it is estimated that fewer units are produced compared to standard Carrera models, enhancing its appeal to collectors seeking exclusivity.
Powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, the Targa 4 GTS delivers 473 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed PDK transmission or an optional 7-speed manual. It achieves 0-60 mph in approximately 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 190 mph. Unique features include the signature Targa roll hoop and a retractable roof panel, blending coupe-like rigidity with convertible freedom. Its rarity, coupled with the GTS’s sporty tuning and all-wheel-drive capability, positions it as a desirable piece for exotic car collectors. Value trends suggest steady appreciation for limited-run 911 variants, especially those with historical design cues like the Targa.
