About this car

The Ferrari 458 Italia, produced between 2009 and 2015, is a mid-engine sports car that succeeded the Ferrari F430. Approximately 20,000 units were manufactured, making it relatively common among Ferrari models, though its appeal to exotic car collectors remains strong due to its design and performance. It features a 4.5-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine, delivering 562 horsepower at 9,000 RPM, with a 0-60 mph time of 3.0 seconds and a top speed of over 202 mph. The car was paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, a first for Ferrari road cars at the time.

For collectors, the 458 Italia holds value due to its status as one of the last naturally aspirated V8 Ferraris before the shift to turbocharging. Special editions, such as the 458 Speciale (2013-2015) with enhanced performance and limited production, are particularly sought after, often commanding premiums. Market trends show well-maintained examples retaining or appreciating in value, especially low-mileage or rare color configurations. Its historical significance lies in bridging Ferrari’s analog driving experience with modern technology, including advanced aerodynamics and electronic aids like E-Diff and F1-Trac, appealing to enthusiasts of both classic and contemporary exotics.
