About this car
The 1983 Ferrari 308 GTB presents a striking example of Pininfarina design in Rosso Fer 302/C exterior finish paired with a rich Tan leather interior. This two-seat mid-engine coupe features an eight-inch shorter wheelbase than its predecessor and delivers the engaging character expected from a Ferrari of the era through its 2.9-liter V8 engine and 5-speed manual transmission with classic gated shifter.
Originally sold in October 1985, the car remained with a single owner for more than three decades, preserving its period-correct details and overall condition. Recent mechanical work includes a comprehensive full belt service, fluid exchange, and installation of a new clutch, ensuring the vehicle is ready for immediate use.

The Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole debuted at the 1982 Paris Motor Show with a removable roof panel and a transversely mounted 2,927-cc V8. The engine used four valves per cylinder, Bosch K-Jetronic mechanical fuel injection and Marelli Digiplex electronic ignition. European-market output was 240 CV, while specifications varied in markets requiring additional emissions equipment. Power was delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.
The GTS Quattrovalvole can be identified by its louvered radiator-exit panel in the front lid, revised grille with rectangular driving lights and electrically operated mirrors carrying small Ferrari badges. Production ended in 1985 when the model was replaced by the 328 GTS. According to Ferrari’s official model archive, 3,042 examples of the 308 GTS Quattrovalvole were produced within the chassis-number range 41701 to 59265. This figure excludes every other version of the Ferrari 308.
