F1 DNA at Auction: How the AMG ONE, Valkyrie, Senna and W1 Are Trading in 2026

Formula 1 comes to Circuit of The Americas in Austin this weekend, October 23-25, with Mercedes, Aston Martin and McLaren all on the grid. Each of those three companies has also sold a limited-run road car that leans on its racing program, and all of them now trade in the collector market.

This report gathers the verifiable public data on four of them: the Mercedes-AMG ONE, Aston Martin Valkyrie, McLaren Senna and McLaren W1. It covers production, original pricing and published auction results through October 21, 2026.

The cars and their F1 links

The four cars connect to Formula 1 in different ways.

  • Mercedes-AMG ONE. Powered by a turbocharged 1.6-litre hybrid V6 derived from the engine in the W07, the car that won the 2016 Formula 1 drivers' and constructors' titles. RM Sotheby's catalogues it at 1,063 hp.
  • Aston Martin Valkyrie. Designed by Adrian Newey while Aston Martin had a technical partnership with Red Bull Racing. It uses a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated Cosworth V12 with hybrid assistance, rated at about 1,140 hp. Newey joined Aston Martin's F1 team in 2025.
  • McLaren Senna. A track-focused car named for Ayrton Senna, with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 rated at 789 hp.
  • McLaren W1. McLaren's third "1" car after the F1 and the P1. It pairs a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with an electric motor for 1,258 bhp.

Supply: fixed, small and pre-sold

All four were built in fixed numbers, and each sold out before or at launch.

  • McLaren Senna: 500 cars. McLaren said all allocations were taken before launch, and the last one was auctioned in December 2017 for £2 million.
  • McLaren W1: 399 cars. McLaren says all are allocated to customers and there is a waiting list. Deliveries began in 2026. Australian deliveries are confirmed, and New Zealand deliveries start in early 2027.
  • Mercedes-AMG ONE: 275 cars. Customer production began in August 2022.
  • Aston Martin Valkyrie: 275 cars in total: 150 Coupés, 85 Spiders and 40 track-only AMR Pros. Aston Martin said the final car would be built before the end of 2024.

Original pricing

Model Production Original price
McLaren Senna 500 £750,000 including UK taxes
McLaren W1 399 About £2.0 million including UK taxes (about $2.1 million in the US, as reported)
Mercedes-AMG ONE 275 €2.75 million plus taxes
Aston Martin Valkyrie Coupé 150 £2.5 million plus taxes

Options add a lot to these prices. Autocar reports that the average option spend on a W1 was £600,000, with a peak of £900,000. RM Sotheby's describes a Valkyrie Coupé whose specification added almost £235,000 to the list price, and a Valkyrie Spider delivered with £255,000 of factory options.

Aston Martin Valkyrie: the highest public prices in the group

Public Valkyrie results are few, and they vary widely by body style and specification.

  • March 2024, RM Sotheby's Dubai: a 2023 Coupé with 123 km sold for $3,070,625.
  • December 2024, RM Sotheby's Dubai: a single-owner 2022 Coupé with 109 km sold for $2,648,750.
  • November 2025, RM Sotheby's London: a 2024 Coupé in the bespoke "Anemos" configuration sold for £2,226,875.
  • August 2026, RM Sotheby's Monterey: a 2024 Spider, number 49 of 85, with 85 miles and £255,000 of options sold for $4,735,000. This is the highest public Valkyrie result in this dataset.
  • Coming up on October 31, 2026, RM Sotheby's London: a single-owner 2023 Coupé with 300 km at cataloguing, estimated at £1.8 million to £2.4 million.

The Monterey Spider came with terms that apply to US buyers. RM noted that the car is in the US under a "show or display" exemption. Under that exemption, NHTSA must approve any transfer of ownership, the car can't be transferred to a dealership, and use is limited to 2,500 miles per year.

Mercedes-AMG ONE: few public prices

The AMG ONE has reached the open market only a handful of times.

  • July 2025, Bonhams Goodwood Festival of Speed: a 2023 car was offered and did not sell.
  • April 2026, RM Sotheby's Monaco: a single-owner, German-delivered 2024 car with 89 km sold for €2,817,500. RM noted that VAT applied to the full purchase price.
  • May 2026, RM Sotheby's Sealed: a 2024 car sold, price not published.
  • September 26, 2026, RM Sotheby's Zurich: a single-owner, Swiss-delivered 2024 car with 507 km sold, price not published.

The Monaco result is the only published AMG ONE price in this period. On its own, it sits just above the car's original €2.75 million list price, but the auction figure includes buyer's premium and the list price excluded taxes.

McLaren Senna: the most liquid car in the group

With 500 built, the Senna trades far more often than the others. That makes it the only car here with a meaningful run of recent US results.

McLaren W1: no public resale yet

The W1 is in its first delivery year. As of this writing, the auction trackers consulted for this report list no completed public W1 sale. With every build slot allocated, anyone who doesn't already hold an allocation can only get a W1 on the secondary market.

The Austin connection

There is a direct link between these cars and Circuit of The Americas. At the FIA World Endurance Championship's Lone Star Le Mans at COTA on September 6, 2026, the No. 007 Aston Martin THOR Team Valkyrie qualified fourth in the Hypercar class and finished fourth, 2.292 seconds off the podium. The car's sister entry, No. 009, finished 14th.

This weekend's US Grand Prix brings the Mercedes, Aston Martin and McLaren F1 teams to the same circuit. All three manufacturers now have a limited road car that draws on their racing programs, as covered above.
