About this car
The Porsche Boxster 718 GTS, part of the 718 Boxster lineup introduced in 2016, represents a high-performance variant of Porsche’s mid-engine roadster. Produced from 2017 onward as part of the 982 generation, the 718 GTS models are still in production as of 2023. While exact production numbers are not publicly disclosed, estimates suggest annual production of GTS variants is limited compared to base models, enhancing their appeal to collectors due to relative scarcity within the Boxster family.
Equipped with a 2.5-liter turbocharged flat-four engine in early models (2017-2020) and later upgraded to a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six in the 718 GTS 4.0 (2020 onward), the car delivers 365 hp and 394 hp respectively. Performance highlights include a 0-60 mph time of approximately 4.0 seconds with the PDK transmission and a top speed nearing 180 mph. The GTS trim offers sportier suspension tuning, distinctive styling, and optional features like the Sport Chrono Package. Its mid-engine layout and balanced handling make it a standout for driving enthusiasts, while value trends show steady appreciation for well-maintained examples, particularly early GTS 4.0 models, due to the return of the naturally aspirated engine favored by purists.

Factory color
Ice Grey Metallic
Ice Grey Metallic is a very light silver-gray metallic Porsche paint, code M7N. It debuted on the Taycan and was later offered as a special color across the 718, 911, Panamera, and Macan ranges, including the 992 911 GT3 RS. Its fine metallic flake gives it a shifting character: in bright sun it can look almost white, while overcast light brings out a cool silver-gray tone.

The Porsche 718 Boxster, introduced in 2016 as a successor to the original Boxster line, marks a significant evolution in Porsche's mid-engine roadster lineup. Produced from 2016 to the present, it reintroduced the "718" name, paying homage to the historic Porsche 718 race cars of the 1950s and 1960s. While exact production numbers are not publicly detailed, estimates suggest tens of thousands of units have been built globally across its variants, making it less rare than some limited-run exotics but still exclusive within the Porsche family.
Key models feature turbocharged flat-four engines, ranging from 2.0L (300 hp) in base trims to 2.5L (350-365 hp) in S and GTS versions, with later 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 and Spyder variants offering a naturally aspirated 4.0L flat-six (394-399 hp). Performance highlights include 0-60 mph times as low as 3.9 seconds in top trims. For collectors, the 718 Spyder and limited-run 25 Years edition (celebrating the Boxster’s 25th anniversary in 2021, with only 1,250 units) are particularly notable for rarity and rising value trends. Its historical significance lies in blending Porsche’s racing heritage with modern engineering, appealing to enthusiasts seeking a balance of performance and exclusivity.
