About the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS 992

Production: 2019–present
Cylinders: 6

The Porsche 911 Carrera GTS (992 generation) was introduced in 2021 as part of the eighth iteration of the iconic 911 lineup, with production ongoing as of 2023. While exact production numbers are not publicly disclosed by Porsche, the GTS variant is positioned as a limited-run model within the 911 range, making it relatively rarer than base Carrera models. It is estimated that annual production is in the low thousands globally, appealing to exotic car collectors for its exclusivity.

Equipped with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, the 992 GTS delivers 473 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque, achieving 0-60 mph in approximately 3.1 seconds with the optional PDK transmission. Unique features include a sport-tuned suspension, enhanced aerodynamics, and lightweight components, distinguishing it from other 911 trims. Its historical significance lies in continuing the GTS badge’s legacy of blending performance and everyday usability. Value trends show strong appreciation potential due to limited availability and high demand among enthusiasts, with special editions or low-mileage examples commanding premiums in the collector market, often exceeding the original MSRP of around $150,000 USD.
