About the Ferrari Portofino M

Production: 2020–2023
Est. units built: 3,500
Cylinders: 8
Powertrain: Combustion
Body: Convertible

The Ferrari Portofino M, introduced in 2020 as an evolution of the original Portofino, is a grand touring convertible produced by Ferrari. It serves as the entry-level model in Ferrari's lineup, with production ongoing as of 2023. While exact production numbers are not publicly disclosed, estimates suggest a few thousand units have been made annually, aligning with Ferrari's limited production strategy. This controlled output enhances its appeal to exotic car collectors seeking exclusivity.

Equipped with a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, the Portofino M delivers 612 horsepower, an increase of 20 hp over its predecessor, paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. It achieves 0-60 mph in approximately 3.4 seconds and a top speed exceeding 199 mph. Notable features include a retractable hardtop, advanced aerodynamics, and an updated Manettino dial with a 'Race' mode, rare for a GT model. Its historical significance lies in blending daily usability with Ferrari’s racing DNA, making it a versatile collector’s piece. Value trends indicate steady appreciation for early units, especially in limited configurations or unique color schemes, though market fluctuations apply.
