Production of the 992 series continues as of 2023, with exact numbers for the Carrera 4S variant not publicly disclosed; however, Porsche's annual reports indicate over 40,000 total 911 units produced yearly since 2020. The Carrera 4S is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, delivering 443 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. It achieves 0-60 mph in approximately 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph, with all-wheel drive enhancing traction and handling.
For exotic car collectors, the 992 Carrera 4S holds appeal due to its blend of modern technology and classic 911 design, though it is not considered rare given Porsche’s production volume. Value trends show steady appreciation for early 992 models, particularly limited-run editions like the 2020 Belgian Legend Edition, commemorating Jacky Ickx. Unique features include optional lightweight packages and advanced driver-assistance systems, reflecting Porsche’s push toward innovation. Its historical significance lies in continuing the 911’s legacy as a benchmark for sports cars, appealing to enthusiasts seeking a balance of heritage and performance.
