About this car
The Lamborghini Aventador, introduced in 2011 as the successor to the Murciélago, is a flagship supercar produced by Automobili Lamborghini until 2022. Over its production run, approximately 11,465 units were manufactured across various trims, making it one of the most prolific models in Lamborghini’s V12 lineage. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine, with output ranging from 691 hp in the base LP 700-4 to 769 hp in the ultimate SVJ variant. Performance highlights include a 0-60 mph time of around 2.8 seconds and a top speed exceeding 217 mph in top configurations.
For exotic car collectors, the Aventador’s appeal lies in its limited-run special editions, such as the Aventador SVJ and the one-off Aventador J, which underscore its rarity and exclusivity. Its value has remained strong, with well-maintained examples and low-mileage units often appreciating, especially for early production models and track-focused variants like the SV. The Aventador also marks a significant chapter in Lamborghini history as one of the last pure V12 models before the shift to hybrid technology with its successor, the Revuelto, enhancing its collectible status.

The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster, introduced in 2019, is a high-performance convertible variant of the Aventador SVJ, representing the pinnacle of Lamborghini's V12 lineup before the model's discontinuation in 2021. Production was limited to just 800 units worldwide, making it a rare and sought-after model for exotic car collectors. Its scarcity, combined with Lamborghini's iconic design and engineering, contributes to strong value retention and increasing demand in the secondary market.
Powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine, the SVJ Roadster delivers 759 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 7-speed ISR automated manual transmission and all-wheel drive. It achieves a 0-60 mph time of 2.9 seconds and a top speed of over 217 mph. The car features advanced aerodynamics with Lamborghini’s ALA (Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva) system for active downforce management, carbon-fiber components for weight reduction, and a bespoke convertible design. As one of the final iterations of the Aventador series, which debuted in 2011, the SVJ Roadster holds historical significance as a culmination of the brand’s V12 legacy before transitioning to hybrid powertrains.
