Factory color
Rosso Portofino
Rosso Portofino is a Ferrari metallic red created especially for the launch of the Ferrari Portofino, the grand touring convertible revealed in August 2017 ahead of its public debut at that year's Frankfurt Motor Show. Ferrari named both the car and its launch color after Portofino, the picturesque harbor town on the Italian Riviera. Applied as a triple-coat paint, it is a rich, deep red with a wine-like warmth: fine metallic flake gives it depth and a lively sparkle in direct sunlight, while in shade it settles into a darker, more sumptuous crimson than Ferrari's classic solid Rosso Corsa. It has since become a signature color of the Portofino and Portofino M.

The Ferrari Portofino, introduced in 2017 as a replacement for the California T, is a grand touring convertible produced by Ferrari from 2018 to 2021, when it was succeeded by the Portofino M. Named after the Italian coastal town, it is estimated that around 6,000 units were produced during its run, making it relatively accessible compared to other Ferrari models, though still exclusive for collectors. It features a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, delivering 591 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Performance highlights include a 0-60 mph time of approximately 3.5 seconds and a top speed exceeding 199 mph.
For exotic car collectors, the Portofino holds appeal due to its blend of performance and usability, with a retractable hardtop offering versatility. While not as rare as limited-edition Ferraris, its value has remained stable, with used models often priced between $200,000 and $250,000 depending on condition and mileage. The Portofino M, introduced in 2020 with enhanced power (611 hp) and technical upgrades, may further influence long-term collector interest in early Portofino models as an entry point into modern Ferrari GT ownership.
