About this car
The Lamborghini Urus, introduced in 2018, is the Italian automaker's first modern SUV and a significant entry into the luxury performance SUV segment. Production began in 2017 at Lamborghini’s Sant’Agata Bolognese facility, with over 20,000 units produced by 2022, making it one of the brand’s best-selling models despite its exotic status. It is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, delivering 641 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Performance highlights include a 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph, positioning it among the fastest SUVs globally.
For exotic car collectors, the Urus stands out due to its blend of Lamborghini’s signature design with practical utility, though its higher production numbers reduce rarity compared to models like the Aventador. Special editions, such as the Urus Performante introduced in 2022 with enhanced power (657 hp) and track-focused tuning, are of particular interest. Value trends show strong resale retention, often exceeding $200,000 for early models, driven by demand in the luxury SUV market. Its historical significance lies in expanding Lamborghini’s audience while maintaining exotic appeal.
