The Porsche 911 Turbo S (991 generation) was produced between 2012 and 2019 as part of the seventh-generation 911 lineup. This model, available in both coupe and cabriolet variants, is a high-performance flagship of the 911 range, with production numbers estimated at around 10,000-12,000 units worldwide across its variants, making it relatively rare compared to standard 911 models. It is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, delivering between 560 hp (early models) and 580 hp (later 991.2 facelift models from 2016), paired with a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission.
For exotic car collectors, the 991 Turbo S stands out due to its advanced technology, including active aerodynamics, rear-wheel steering, and all-wheel drive, enhancing its performance and drivability. It achieves 0-60 mph in as little as 2.8 seconds, with a top speed of around 205 mph. Its historical significance lies in blending cutting-edge engineering with the iconic 911 design, while limited-run special editions like the Exclusive Series (991.2) add to its appeal. Value trends show steady appreciation, especially for low-mileage or special-edition examples, with prices often exceeding $150,000 in the collector market as of recent years.
