About this car

The 2016 Porsche 911 Targa 4S delivers the signature blend of performance and open-air elegance that defines the Targa variant. Its 3.8L H6 engine provides ample power through an automatic transmission, while the all-wheel-drive system ensures confident traction in varied conditions.

With 21,759 miles on the odometer, this example maintains the low-mileage appeal expected of a well-preserved 911. The Targa configuration adds a distinctive roof mechanism that enhances the driving experience without compromising structural integrity.

Overall dimensions of 177.9 inches in length, 79.7 inches in width, and 51.2 inches in height contribute to its balanced stance and aerodynamic profile.

About the Porsche 911 Targa 4S 991

Production: 2011–2019
Cylinders: 6
Powertrain: Combustion
Body: Targa

The Porsche 911 Targa 4S (991 generation) was produced between 2014 and 2019 as part of the 991 series, which marked a significant evolution in the 911 lineup. While exact production numbers for the Targa 4S variant are not publicly detailed, the 991 generation as a whole saw over 233,000 units produced across all models, with Targa variants being a smaller subset, enhancing their appeal to collectors due to relative rarity.

Equipped with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine in later models (post-2016), the Targa 4S delivers 420 horsepower, paired with a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission or a manual option. It achieves 0-60 mph in approximately 4.0 seconds with PDK. A defining feature is the electrically retractable roof panel, reviving the classic Targa design with modern engineering, offering a blend of open-air driving and structural rigidity. Its all-wheel-drive system distinguishes it from rear-wheel-drive counterparts. For exotic car collectors, the Targa 4S holds value due to its niche appeal and limited production relative to coupes and convertibles. Recent market trends show stable or appreciating values, especially for low-mileage or manual transmission examples, with special editions like the 50th Anniversary model adding historical significance.
