About the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 991

Production: 2011–2019
Cylinders: 6
Powertrain: Combustion
Body: Coupe

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991 generation) is a high-performance variant of the iconic 911, produced between 2015 and 2019. As part of the 991.1 and 991.2 series, it is estimated that around 4,500 units of the GT3 RS were manufactured globally, making it a relatively rare model within the Porsche lineup. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine, delivering 500 horsepower in the 991.1 version (2015-2016) and 520 horsepower in the updated 991.2 model (2018-2019), with a top speed of approximately 193 mph and a 0-60 mph time of around 3.1 seconds.

Designed for track enthusiasts and collectors, the GT3 RS features aggressive aerodynamics, a widened body, and lightweight components like a magnesium roof and carbon-fiber elements. Its historical significance lies in being one of the last naturally aspirated GT3 RS models before Porsche's shift to turbocharging in other variants. For exotic car collectors, its rarity and track-focused engineering contribute to strong value retention, with prices often appreciating on the secondary market, especially for low-mileage or limited-edition examples like the Weissach Package, which further reduces weight and enhances performance.
