About this car

The 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach Package is a limited-production hybrid supercar finished in Paint-to-Sample Oryx White Pearl Effect over Onyx Black leather with silver piping and accents. This example, chassis number 652 of 918 produced, combines a mid-mounted 4.6-liter V8 with front and rear electric motors for all-wheel drive through a seven-speed PDK automatic transaxle and an electro-mechanical limited-slip differential. The powertrain delivers a combined 887 horsepower and 944 lb-ft of torque, supported by a 6.8-kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

Construction features a carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer monocoque with carbon-fiber body panels and removable roof sections. The Weissach Package adds revised aerodynamics, an exposed carbon-fiber windshield frame, side-view mirrors, roof panels, and an extended rear diffuser. Staggered 20-inch and 21-inch 918 Spyder magnesium wheels are fitted, while the adaptive suspension incorporates double-wishbone front and multi-link rear architecture with Porsche Active Suspension Management, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, rear-axle steering, and electro-mechanical power steering. Braking is provided by Acid Green six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers over 410 mm front and 390 mm rear carbon-ceramic discs, complemented by a front-axle lift system and Porsche Active Aerodynamics.

Inside, carbon-fiber bucket seats are trimmed in Onyx Black leather with silver piping that extends to the seatbelts, door panels, dashboard, and steering wheel. The cabin includes glare-reducing interior components, a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, configurable digital gauges, an elevated center console with a 7-inch touchscreen, navigation, Bluetooth capability, dual-zone climate control, and a Burmester surround sound system. Five selectable driving modes are available, including E-Drive, hybrid, sport, and race settings, along with a back-up camera and LED headlights.

The Porsche 918 Spyder, produced between 2013 and 2015, is a limited-run hybrid hypercar that marked a significant milestone in Porsche’s engineering history. Only 918 units were manufactured, making it an exceptionally rare vehicle highly sought after by exotic car collectors. It combines a 4.6-liter V8 engine with two electric motors, delivering a total output of 887 horsepower and 944 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain enables the 918 Spyder to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds and achieve a top speed of 214 mph, while also offering a limited electric-only range of about 12 miles.

For collectors, the 918 Spyder’s rarity and historical significance as one of the first hypercars to integrate hybrid technology at such a performance level enhance its appeal. Its value has appreciated significantly since production ended, with auction prices often exceeding $1.5 million, depending on condition and provenance. Special editions, like the Weissach Package, which reduces weight and improves aerodynamics, are particularly coveted. As a benchmark of automotive innovation, the 918 Spyder remains a centerpiece in collections, symbolizing the transition to electrified performance vehicles.
