About this car
The 1997 Ferrari F355 Spider presents a low-mileage example of one of the marque’s most celebrated modern classics, finished in Silver with a power-operated convertible top. This mid-engine rear-wheel-drive convertible is powered by a 3.5-liter quad-cam naturally aspirated V8 featuring the distinctive five-valve-per-cylinder design and producing approximately 375 horsepower. The car is equipped with the factory gated manual transmission and has recently received a major service.
Offered with 29,108 miles, the F355 Spider retains numerous original items and is accompanied by its factory tool kit, owner’s manuals, convertible top boot, and maintenance paperwork. Pininfarina-designed bodywork includes iconic pop-up headlights, while the Spider configuration delivers open-top driving with the mechanical engagement and high-revving character that define the model.

The Ferrari F355 Spider, introduced in 1995 as the convertible variant of the F355 Berlinetta, was produced until 1999. Approximately 3,717 units of the Spider were built, making it a relatively rare model compared to other Ferraris of the era. It features a 3.5-liter V8 engine, delivering 375 horsepower at 8,250 RPM, paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or an optional F1-style electrohydraulic paddle-shift gearbox, one of the first of its kind in a road car. Performance highlights include a 0-60 mph time of around 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 183 mph.
For exotic car collectors, the F355 Spider holds appeal due to its rarity, especially in manual transmission form, as fewer than 30% of units were equipped with it. Its value has appreciated in recent years, with well-maintained examples often fetching between $80,000 and $150,000 at auctions, depending on condition and provenance. The model is historically significant as one of the last Ferraris to feature a naturally aspirated V8 with a high-revving character before the brand shifted toward larger displacement engines. Special editions or low-mileage examples are particularly sought after in the collector market.
